How Waste is Used in Cement Production

Processed in the Kiln – Some materials serve as alternative fuels or raw material substitutes, such as:
- Food items (excluding liquids)
- Chocolate
- Plastic products (bags, shreds, strips)
- Grease
- Tyres (small cars and trucks)
- Rubber pieces
- Cotton rags
- Tobacco (cigarettes)
- Carbon dust
- Other wastes

Blended with Raw Materials – Other materials are mixed with raw materials based on their chemical composition, including:

- Aluminum oxide
- Calcium carbonate
- Steel dust
- Copper slag
- Blasting sand
- Spent catalyst
- Lime sludge
- Other wastes
